HCM Navajo Chieftain (Chief)

Chief

HCM Navajo Chieftain has won several Reserve Championships and Grand Championships in the Northwest Miniature Horse Club shows and at the AMHR shows in Halter.    At the Evergreen Miniature Horse Show he won Supreme Grand Champion Halter Amateur in 2005.  In 2004 at the AMHA Regional in Reno he tied with the Reserve Champion Halter Horse and because the call judge was the one that determined

the placing; he gave the other horse a higher placing. The other two judges gave him first and second, so he ended up being third.

In 2004 Chief was awarded his Top Ten Honor Roll in Senior Stallions over 30" to 32" from AMHA.    Chief is now retired from the show ring and he is my breeding stallion.    He has produced two really fine foals and they look like him.    A Grulla colt and a Black and White Pinto filly, see pictures on the website.

Several years ago Jim Evers decided to go to High Country Miniatures to bring home two stallions to train, he chose HCM Navajo Chieftain and HCM Navajo's Bold Idea.    High Country Miniatures are known for their fine horses, they breed for conformation, great movement and are beautiful horses.    Jamie Ruehle and Betty Goodwin are the owners; we are very close friends and their website is full of helpful information about the miniatures, www.AmericanMiniatureHorse.com.

When I first saw HCM Navajo Chieftain I fell in love, because I was an Arabian person and he looked like an Arabian.    He was in training with Jim Evers and when Jim got really ill he was sent back to Jamie in Texas the home of High Country Miniatures.    So I thought that was the end of me getting Chief.    Well I'm here to tell you if you dream hard enough you can make your DREAMS come true.    It took me two years but I finally made my dream come true and Chief was on his way up here from Texas.    Jim trained him for halter and driving, so all I had to do is get him into show shape.    He is a wonderful halter horse and he really knows how to show, the judges really notice him.
