Justa Windyhill Miniature Horses

My husband Bill and I live in Port Orchard, Washington and we have an 18-acre farm. Bill has built all of the barns, covered arena and outdoor arena so I can enjoy the miniatures and get them ready for the show season.

I have always enjoyed my full sized horses but there was something really special about the miniature horses. I realized like most of us I'm getting older and Miniatures are much safer than the big horses. I couldn't image my life without horses I wouldn't be very happy and they always have been such an important part of my life. So I went looking for my first Miniature and they are like potato chips, you just have to have more than one. Thanks to my dear friend Jean Jacobson she got me started with a wonderful gelding, (Little Americas Flair). Flair has taught me so much and going to shows with him has been so much fun. Flair is a top ten National Hunter and he has won other honors, Supreme Halter Amateur and Reserve Champion Country Pleasure Driving. I love all my miniatures but Flair is my favorite and he loves to go places and to shows.

Now we have 12 miniatures and besides showing them we also breed them. Thanks to another dear friend Jim Evers had a Stallion in for training and when I saw him I knew had to buy this Stallion, he is jet black and his name is HCM Navajo Chieftain. We decided to have him DNA tested and he is homozygous Black, so that has been a real asset to our breeding program.

Chief has many honors, Supreme Halter Championship, Champion and Reserve Champion in Halter; he is now retired from the show circuit. He produced a black and white Pinto Filly this year out of a Chestnut and White Mare.

Our other Stallion is HCM Navajos Bold Idea and I'm showing him AMHR and Pinto. He is a Chestnut and White Pinto and the sweetest Stallion I have ever been around. He has been to AMHR Nationals and he was the National Champion Single Pleasure Driving Ladies, National Champion Single Pleasure Driving

Gentlemen, Reserve Grand Champion Single Pleasure Driving, and Canadian Pinto Grand Champion Ideal Driving and in 2006 he was the Pinto Reserve Champion Pleasure Driving Horse at the Oregon State Fair. At the Regional Show at Monroe he is the Pinto 2006 Regional Reserve Champion.

Our goal is to raise Miniatures that people are going to be proud to own and show. I plan on having a couple of foals a year that are for sale. I really like color so I'm planning to have mostly Pintos.

Miniatures are really fun to have they have such cute personalities and enjoy being around people. When you go out into their pastures they fight over you for your attention. They always put a smile on my face and I treasure all my time with them. If you have any questions about the Miniatures I would be very happy to answer them if you email me.

Thank you for looking at our website and have a great day!!
